After seeing how my fam’s getting treated on Insta and Threads, and I kinda saw this coming.. I’m not going to expend any more energy on these sites, just like Twitter.

Keeping the accounts to hold the name only.

Please don’t message me there or interact with my posts there anymore – I won’t be checking them.

Instead I’m going to focus on Discord and BlueSky as my social platforms aside from Twitch. Thought I was kinda spreading myself thin anyway.

Two years ago I made the fateful decision to use my Tanandra avatar full time and create this website. I had already been streaming for 5 years at that point and didn’t even recognize yet that my egg was cracking.

I remember being excited, scared and saying “What the fuck am I doing?!” over and over to myself. Here I am two years later, almost 2 years on HRT (March), 2 years of voice training and practice, a house full of gay people and marveling at what my life has become. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I had so much regret for so long. I think I am mostly past it now, but every so often I get a pang. I’m working on it, and I’m still working on myself. I’ve never made new year’s resolutions before, but I made a few this year.

1. I am GOING to get down to a reasonable weight. I lost damn near 100 lbs in 2023.
2. Continuing to work on my self-acceptance. I don’t know if I can get comfy in my own skin without surgical intervention, but I can do better for sure. The weight loss is helping a lot!
3. Improve my streaming and just keep going. It’s easy to get sidetracked and lose hope. I will not do that this year! I will take breaks if I need to but I enjoy it too much to quit.
4. Do better at dayjob. I got too many people depending on me to lose it.
5. Blog better here. I’m working on it!!

I’m keeping Tanandra.com since that’s my proper name, but I much rather being called Tan or Auntie! Or, Auntie Tan of course!
