I haven’t updated in here in a bit – but there’s been a lot going on.

Since I rebranded YouTube back to my name, I’ve been cranking out the Duck Facts every day (well 7 every Sunday and scheduling them) and that’s been going really well! I enjoy making them, and a couple people get a giggle out of them!

I’ve been concentrating more on Twitch and it’s been helping my mood too. I’m a lot less stressed. I recently dropped GIFbot because it was not working right anymore – come to find out that I was oh, several years of revisions behind. The new one acts as a webservice you attach a browser source to OBS, and it is INSTANT ON and working a helluva lot better. Inbetween doing this update I gave other various means of doling out the free animations and they all ended up failing for various reasons. Even using Twitch currency with a backend cooldown – asking chat to do anything is a recipe for failure every time. There’s always new people who don’t know, or people who don’t pay attention, or people who complain about it, or people who refuse.. etc etc etc.

In ANY case – the brand spanking new bot is running great, and I have it running under the Disc0bot banner. I have yet to add more than the most basic animations to it, and will be making a hidden !menu page on the site for it as well.

Well, it was an interesting experiment. But honestly it seems like I keep shooting myself in the foot when it comes to SEO. I should have everything with just my name on it to make it all stick and be easy to find, right? *sigh*

Welp, finally and maybe for the last time, I’ve abandoned a schedule. I’m unsure what to do – maybe I should make a list of games we play on Twitch or YouTube like a playlist or something. I’m at a loss. Any time I try to hold a schedule I end up not streaming as much, being a lot more stressed out, etc etc.

So, for now, it’s gone again. Might stay gone. It was nice streaming in the morning today, I’m going to try and keep that going when I can too. The whole idea being, if I have time, then I’ll be streaming! Time will tell how well this idea works.

Welp here we are, already one day in and I’m throwing wrenches like nobody’s business. I snazzed up a couple spots that were too flat with a galaxy thing that I really like. I’m not going to do too much more I dont think, graphics-wise. I like the contrast between the animated and non-animated sections. Really draws your eye to it. I like having it for the ‘alert news’ box on the main page.

Fixed the YouTube preview by pointing it to the Nostalgia LIVE playlist, and look at that, it makes a handy reminder when there’s a new stream posted. Neat! Glad I stumbled into it.

There seems to be a little lag on the site on occasion – I could try running Hummingbird again but it wants to smash the icons on the top menu.. which.. I don’t even know if I need those. We have links all over the place, I might trash that and just turn Hummingbird loose. Unsure yet.

I’d first off like to thank GTKoen for the amazing work on the site and giving it a really sleek new look! Oh yeah! Hey! The site got re-done! How about that! Now I can mess it up twice as efficiently!! XD

I’m going to try and limit what I do to the site, but I will use this Blog behind-the-scenes to explain anything that I guess I feel the need to explain. If there’s something earth-shattering like a giveaway or whatnot, it won’t be in here.
